Q2. Where should I recite sutras (Otsutome)?
A2. Please offer prayers at both the Kannon statue in the temple grounds and the Main Hall (Hondo).

・Praying at the Kannon statue in the temple grounds
This pilgrimage was originally established as the Boke-Fuji Shikoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. At that time, each temple enshrined a Kannon statue within its grounds. Praying to these statues is considered equivalent to worshiping all 33 manifestations of Kannon.

・Praying at the Main Hall (Hondo)
Inside the Main Hall, each temple enshrines its principal deity (Honzon) as well as an image or statue representing one of the 33 manifestations of Kannon. Please be sure to offer your prayers here as well.

Feel free to ask the head priest of each temple if there are any questions.

Q.3 I would like to receive Nokyo, but no one is around. What should I do?
A3-1. For Temple No.9 Shogakuji and Temple No.20 Daishiji
– Temple No.9 Shogakuji
Nokyo is not available at this temple. Please visit Temple No. 10 Koshoji.

– Temple No.20 Daishiji
You can still receive the stamp at Temple No.19 Enpukuji if the head priest is not available. (Note that visitors should perform self-stamping and leave the Nokyo fee in the designated box since Dishiji does not have a resident priest.)

A3-2. For other temples
Please call the temple first. The priest may be nearby.
If there is no response, you may self-stamp your Nokyo paper available at the temple’s Nokyo office or entrance and leave the Nokyo fee in the designated box. If you can’t find Nokyo paper, please visit again or call the temple later for alternative arrangement.
Note that most temples on this pilgrimage are run by family caretakers. At times, they may be away due to religious duties, making it difficult to provide immediate Nokyo services. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Q4. How can I get to Temple No.16 Eishoji?
A4. If you are traveling by car, GPS navigation may not provide accurate directions. Please refer to the official pilgrimage guidebook map and enter from the road east of Matsuno Nishi Elementary School.
